Well let me start off with a hearty good luck to all the predictors this week on CFL Pick ‘Em to end the regular season, especially those who are in tight races at the top of their leagues.
Winnipeg vs. Toronto
The Argonauts could use this game to straighten some things out before the playoffs as they know they’ll be on the road in either Ottawa or Hamilton next week for the East Semi-Final. The Bombers, meanwhile, have to come off a bye week following their season being officially ended by the B.C. Lions victory. That’ll be a hard thing to get over, so I’ll pick the better team who has a little more to play for in this one.
PICK: Toronto with 25% confidence

Are the BC Lions playing their best football at the right time? |
Hamilton vs. Ottawa
Well this should be an interesting matchup with a war of words and controversy spilling over from Ottawa’s six point win last week. The Tiger-Cats need a six point win over the REDBLACKS to get first but will try to win without Jeff Mathews at quarterback and are going down to the third string. While Ottawa struggled to score points against a tough Hamilton defence last week, I think they’ll get some opportunities on short fields. I also like the REDBLACKS at home with a lot to play for.
PICK: Ottawa with 40% confidence
Calgary vs. BC
Another tough one to pick, especially with these two teams matching up against each other for next week’s West Semi-Final. I can’t imagine they’ll want to show much and give any edge to the opponent by giving them much film to look at. I’m thinking this will be a pretty basic game plan by both sides but the B.C. Lions seem like a team that is starting to play their best football at the right time. It was an impressive win in Toronto last week. I’m going with a bit of an upset here though both teams will choose to rest some banged up players.
PICK: BC straight up
Saskatchewan vs. Montreal
The Alouettes and Roughriders will finish off the regular season with Kevin Glenn facing his former team. Neither team is making the playoffs so this will be the last chance for the players to prove if they deserve a spot on the roster next season. I liked the fight some of the Riders showed last week, especially Weston Dressler, Anthony Allen, Denicos Allen and Keith Price. The Alouettes defence should be able to take advantage of the young QBs the Riders will throw at them.
PICK: Montreal with 30% confidence
