With six weeks of the 2013 season already in the books, Ticats.ca presents By the Numbers: Bye Week edition…

2 – Number of Ticats receivers currently ranked among the CFL’s top five receivers: Bakari Grant and Greg Ellingson.

2 – Ticats players who have earned the CFL’s Special Teams Player of the Week awards; Lindsey Lamar in week 1 and Luca Congi in week 6.

3 – Number of touchdowns caught by rookie receiver Greg Ellingson.

4 – Number of touchdowns scored by rookie running back C.J. Gable, the highest total on the Tiger-Cats. 

4 – Henry Burris’ rank on the all-time pasing yards touchdown list after passing Matt Dunigan in week 5. 

5 – Henry Burris’ rank on the all-time pasing completions list after passing Ron Lancaster in week 5.

5 – Number of consecutive games in which Bakari Grant has had at least four catches for 60+ yards in the Ticats.

51 – Josh Bartel set a career high with a punting average of 51 yards in Edmonton on August 2.

66 – The amount of receptions Sam Giguere is on pace to make, 15 more receptions than he recorded in 2012.

71 – Number of different players that have already played for the Ticats in 2013 after six games.

94 – Second-year receiver Sam Giguere’s new single-game career high in receiving yards after catching six passes for 94 yards in Edmonton last week.

100 – Receiving yards needed by Bakari Grant to set a new career-high.  His previous best came in 2011 when he amassed 507 yards.

108 – Ticats rookies have compiled 108 of the teams 215 defensive tackles.

109 – The Ticats defence has only allowed 109 completed passes in six games, which works out to be an average of 18
per game.

114 – Yards travelled by RB/KR Lindsey Lamar on his first career touch after catching a kickoff and taking in to the house in week 1 in Toronto.

123 – First downs recorded by the Ticats.

272 – The difference in receiving yards between Greg Ellingson and the next closest CFL rookie receiver, Ticats rookie receiver Ed Gant

307 – Ticats average passing yards per game.

350+ – Henry Burris has eclipsed the 350 yard passing mark in three out of six games this season.

453 – Number of offensive plays executed by the Tiger-Cats, second-most in the CFL.

1803 – Henry Burris’ league-leading passing yards total. He has just four yards fewer than he threw in six games during his record-setting season in 2012, but has done so on fewer attempts (16) and completions (10).

2,100 – Tiger-Cats net offensive yards, just 48 yards behind the top-ranked BC Lions.
