Fun For Everyone At Ivor Wynne This Season

With rookies and quarterbacks reporting for training camp tomorrow, the 2011 Hamilton Tiger-Cats season is quickly approaching.  2011 promises to be an entertaining year for fans in the stands at Ivor Wynne Stadium as the Ticats continue their commitment to providing a memorable gameday experience at each and every home game.

The fun begins in the brand new TigerTown Fanzone on Brian Timmis Field.  The Fanzone opens two hours prior to every game and features interactive inflatables, alumni autograph areas, a cheerleader photo booth, music, food and tons of pre-game entertainment for the entire family.

As fans approach Ivor Wynne, they’ll see an improved look at the gates and an increased customer service team presence both inside and outside of the stadium.  Prior to kickoff, fans will be treated to an airplane flyover courtesy of the Warplane Heritage Museum and the unveiling of a 250-foot Canadian flag on the field.

Fans will also feel a new level of interaction with Ticats players as well.  During warm-ups, players will throw mini-footballs to young fans in the stands.  As halftime begins, a player will be interviewed live on the ArcelorMittal TigerVision scoreboard to provide spectators with an insider’s perspective about the action on the field.

Ben and Kerry’s All-You-Can-Eat-Seats presented by Y108 are back once again!  Fans in this section can indulge in ulimited hot dogs, sausages, nachos, popcorn, bottled water and pop all game long!

The regular season kicks off on July 1, as the Ticats host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on ‘Family Day’ at Ivor Wynne.  Popular children’s group The Backyardigans will be on hand for two pre-game performances in the Tigertown Fanzone while Ticats legends and 2011 Canadian Football Hall of Fame inductees Danny McManus and Joe Montford will be honoured at halftime.

Tickets to the July 1st game are on sale Wednesday!  Fans can purchase single game tickets to all Ticats home games by visiting Ticats.ca, contacting the Ticats sales staff at 905-547-CATS (2287) or dropping by The TigerTown Store located at 1 Jarvis Street.
