TIGER-CATS SET FOR TRAINING CAMP
Hamilton, Ontario – The 2011 CFL season is just around the corner as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will open rookie camp at McMaster University’s Ron Joyce Stadium next week.
Quarterbacks and rookies take the field for the first time on Thursday, June 2 before being joined by the veterans on Sunday, June 5.

BLACK AND GOLD DAY IN BURLINGTON
The team’s annual Black and Gold Day will take place on Saturday, June 11 at Corpus Christi High School in Burlington from 2:00-6:00pm.
With the 2011 season quickly approaching, fans are encouraged to come out and catch a glimpse of this year’s Ticats in a controlled scrimmage followed by an autograph session on the field immediately after. Inflatable play equipment and interactive games will also be on site.
GUEST COACHES
Head Coach Marcel Bellefeuille and the Ticats coaching staff will be joined by guest coaches Leon Lett, Nelson Martin and Steve Pasterchick.
Lett is currently the Defensive Tackles Coach at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He spent 11 seasons in the NFL as a defensive tackle, earning two invites to the Pro Bowl and three Super Bowl Championships with the Dallas Cowboys.
Martin served as Defensive Backs Coach with the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2009-2010. He is now a Defensive Assistant with the University of Ottawa.
Pasterchick played at Rice and attended training camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1982. He is now the head coach of a high school football program in San Antonio, Texas.
PRESEASON GAMES
The Ticats will head to Toronto for their first preseason game on Saturday, June 18 against the Argonauts at the Rogers Centre. The Cats host the Montreal Alouettes in their final pre-season contest on June 22 at Ivor Wynne Stadium. The June 22 game is an exclusive event for season seat holders and their friends. Ticats season seat holders can secure up to 10 additional tickets by calling the Ticats sales staff at 905-547-CATS (2287).
