Ticats Sign Defensive Linemen
TICATS SIGN DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import defensive linemen Morrice Richardson and Albert Smith.
Richardson, a 6-2, 255-pound native of College Park, Georgia, played four seasons (2006-09) at Notre Dame, registering 19 tackles, three tackles for a loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks for the Fighting Irish.
Smith, a 6-0, 290-pound native of Matthews, Louisiana, suited up in one game with the Ticats last season, recording one defensive tackle and one quarterback sack, before being released on November 4. Prior to joining the Ticats last year, Smith spent four years at Northwestern State, where he earned First-Team All-Southland Conference honlours in 2009.
