TICATS ENHANCE SCOUTING & FOOTBALL OPERATIONS STAFF
Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has enhanced its scouting and football operations staff.
Danny McManus has been promoted to Head U.S. Scout. McManus has spent the last two seasons as the Ticats Southeast Regional Scout after one season on the team’s coaching staff as an Offensive Assistant. As a player, McManus enjoyed a successful 17-year career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Edmonton Eskimos, Ticats and Calgary Stampeders.
Drew Allemang has been promoted to Coordinator of Canadian Player Development and Head Canadian Scout after serving as Football Operations Coordinator for the past two seasons. Allemang will organize and execute the Ticats scouting strategy in Canada and will lead the team’s preparation for the CFL Canadian Draft.
Shawn Burke has been appointed as Director of Football Operations. Burke has spent five years with the Ticats, most recently as Director of Communications and Community Relations. In his new role, Burke will be responsible for managing the salary management system, handling the team’s day-to-day football operations duties, and overseeing the Ticats community initiatives.
“We are very excited about these changes and remain committed to building the best football organization in the country. Danny continues to make strides in his career in player evaluation and both Drew and Shawn are very bright, young Canadians who’ve become integral parts of the organization. With these well-deserved promotions and the recent addition of Joe Womack, we feel great about our football operations structure moving forward,” said General Manager Bob O’Billovich.
Effective immediately, all media inquiries should be directed to Scott McNaughton, Director of Communications.
