Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats caretaker Bob Young issued the following statement about today’s PanAm Hostco decision approving the new PanAm stadium investment in Hamilton:
“I’d like to congratulate Hamilton City Council and Mayor Bob Bratina for successfully landing this important investment in our City.
Having a world-class large audience facility in Hamilton will allow for a wide range of regional, national, and international sporting events to be held here successfully. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking forward to working with the City to bring these new events to Hamilton and to maximize the economic benefit of this investment to our community and to the Province of Ontario.
The new stadium at Ivor Wynne will ensure the Hamilton Tiger-Cat Football team will prosper and win championships representing our City for another 141 years in Hamilton.”
