Ticats Announce Inaugural Touchdown Dinner & Awards

TICATS ANNOUNCE INAUGURAL TOUCHDOWN DINNER & AWARDS

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are excited to announce that the team will host the first ever Touchdown Dinner & Awards on Tuesday, April 12 at Carmen’s Banquet Hall in Hamilton.  The Touchdown Dinner & Awards will recognize and honour the football community in the greater Hamilton area.

The CFL on TSN football panel, including broadcaster Dave Randorf, former CFL receiver Jock Climie, the CFL’s all-time leading receiver Milt Stegall and Canadian Football Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan will be on hand to serve as the evening’s MCs and keynote speakers.

All proceeds raised from the event will benefit local minor and junior football programs.  Funds will be allocated so that those who wish to play in organized football are able to do so regardless of financial constraints. Proceeds will also be used to support capital programs benefiting grassroots football.

“We’re thrilled to host an evening that will not only provide first-class entertainment, but will also raise money that will go a long way to promote and develop grassroots football in our area,” said Mark Bowden, Ticats Vice President, Community Affairs, Partnerships and Development.

The event will kick off with a tailgate at 5:30pm before guests enjoy four quarters of dining and entertainment.  An auction, including many unique items, will also be available.

Tickets are available for $125 (plus HST) by calling the Ticats sales staff at 905-547-CATS (2287).
