TIGER-CATS ADD TWO COACHES

Hamilton, Ontario
– The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has hired Rick Worman as their Running Backs Coach and Doug Malone as their Offensive Line Coach.

Worman most recently spent seven years with the Edmonton Eskimos in various capacities, including Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach and West Coach Scout.  Worman was also the Offensive Coordinator of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2001 and Head Coach of af2’s Fresno Frenzy in 2002.  As a player, Worman enjoyed a six-year CFL career as a quarterback with the Calgary Stampeders (1986-88, 1990), Edmonton Eskimos (1988-89) and Saskatchewan Roughriders (1991).

“The addition of Rick to our staff provides us with another quality, experienced coach that has a multitude of experience in this league as both an offensive coach and player personnel assistant,” said Head Coach Marcel Bellefeuille.

Malone brings an extensive coaching pedigree to the Ticats staff.  Malone has spent the last three years with Presbyterian College in various capacities, including Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, Offensive Line Coach and Interim Head Coach.  He boasts a wealth of experience on the offensive side of the ball, including other stints as Offensive Coordinator with Tennessee Tech, Wingate and Western Carolina.  Malone also has head coaching experience at Tennessee Tech and Wingate.  He served as a guest coach with the Calgary Stampeders during their 2010 training camp.

“I’m excited to add Doug to our staff.  With almost 30 years of experience at the NCAA level including roles as head coach and offensive coordinator, he brings an extensive wealth of knowledge and a wide array of offensive expertise,” said Bellefeuille.
