GLENN, BAGGS AND BAUMAN RECOGNIZED AS CFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Hamilton, Ontario – Three Hamilton Tiger-Cats players earned CFL Player of the Week awards after the Ticats 40-3 victory over the Montreal Alouettes last Friday. Quarterback Kevin Glenn has been named Offensive Player of the Week, defensive end Stevie Baggs was recognized as Defensive Player of the Week and receiver Chris Bauman earned Canadian Player of the Week.
Glenn completed 21 of 32 pass attempts for 371 yards and two touchdowns in the win while tying Danny McManus’ team record of 29 touchdown passes in a single-season. This season, Glenn has completed 66.1% of his pass attempts and thrown for 4,725 yards and 29 touchdowns.
This is the second straight Defensive Player of the Week award for Baggs, who made four defensive tackles, one pass knockdown, one interception and one fumble recovery that he returned 80 yards for a touchdown on Friday. After signing with the Black and Gold on September 16, Baggs has made 18 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one interception, three fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns.
Bauman had a career day against the Alouettes, hauling in five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. The fourth-year Ticat has now made 14 receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns this season.
