HAGE’S HEROES THANKSGIVING FOOD SHARE PROGRAM RETURNS FOR THIRD YEAR
Hamilton, Ontario – On Saturday, October 9, Hamilton Tiger-Cats offensive lineman Marwan Hage will team up with FTC Canada for the third annual Hage’s Heroes Thanksgiving food share program.
Hage, and FTC Canada will distribute food boxes containing Thanksgiving meals (and more) to 2,000 Hamilton families at Ivor Wynne Stadium.
“I am honoured to help out in this community, especially at this time of year. I would like to thank my program’s sponsors; Castrol, Centre68.com, Great Lakes Feeder Lines, Nirint Canada, Reebok and Walton for helping make this a possibility,” said Hage.
The seven-year CFL veteran established his Hage’s Heroes community initiative in 2007. The program has welcomed over 3,000 underprivileged youth to Tiger-Cats home games, fed over 4,000 families through food drives and made numerous donations to local charities. Last fall, Hage was honoured with the 2009 Tom Pate Memorial Award for his efforts.
