Less Than 1,000 Tickets Remain For Labour Day Classic

LESS THAN 1,000 TICKETS REMAIN FOR LABOUR DAY CLASSIC

Hamilton, Ontario
– Less than 1,000 tickets remain for next Monday’s Labour Day Classic battle between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts at Ivor Wynne Stadium at 2:30pm.

Riding a three-game win streak following their August 20 win over the Argos in Toronto, the Ticats will look to improve on their 42-15-3 record in Labour Day Classics since 1950.

A CF-18 Hornet will fly over the field before kickoff.  At halftime, a fan will have a chance to kick a field goal to win a new Nissan Altima in the ‘Kick For A Car’ contest presented by Mainway Hunter Insurance.

The Hamilton and Toronto Police Services are also in on the rivalry.  Hamilton Chief Glenn De Caire and Toronto Chief Bill Blair have made a friendly wager that will see the losing city fly the winning team’s CFL flag in front of their headquarters following Monday’s game.

The Purolator Tackle Hunger Program will return for its eight season in Hamilton, and fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation to the stadium.  Ticats alumni and Purolator volunteers will be stationed at each stadium gate to collect donations.  In return for their contributions, fans will have the opportunity to receive a photo with the Grey Cup and enter a draw to win two tickets to the 2010 Grey Cup in Edmonton.
