Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals that you follow?
Matt: Zero pre-game rituals. I’m not superstitious at all.
Q: What is your favourite personal football memory?
Matt: My first year at Acadia, we won the AUS championship. We spanked St.FX 69 to 6… that was pretty special.
Q: Who is an athlete you admired growing up?
Matt: Growing up, I was a pretty serious alpine ski racer so I used to look up to an Austrian skier named Hermann Maier.
Q: What surprised you the most when you got to the CFL?
Matt: Definitely the speed of the game and how athletic all the guys are. It’s a big jump up from Canadian University.
Q: If you weren’t playing football where would you be?
Matt: Firefighting, I’d be a firefighter for sure.
Q: If you could try another position on the field what would it be?
Matt: I’d be a shutdown corner.
Q: Do you have a favourite pre-game meal?
Matt: I have a Nutribar before every game.
Q: Whats getting the most play in your ipod or car right now?
Matt: Probably some Red Hot Chili Peppers, something by them. They’re my go-to.
