Marcus Thigpen Named CFL Special Teams Player of the Month

THIGPEN EARNS SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE MONTH HONOURS

– Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back Marcus Thigpen has been named the CFL’s Special Teams Player of the Month after returning a kickoff, a punt and a missed field goal for touchdowns in July.

In his first month as a pro, Thigpen became just the third player in CFL history to return a kickoff, punt, and missed field goal for touchdowns in one season.  The Indiana product leads the CFL with a 12.8 punt return average and has also returned 15 kickoffs for 331 yards (22.1 average) and three missed field goals for 189 yards.
