BRUCE NAMED CFL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Arland Bruce III has been named the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week in recognition of his record-breaking performance in last Saturday’s game against the Roughriders in Saskatchewan.
Bruce was unstoppable at Mosaic Stadium, hauling in 16 receptions for 272 yards and two touchdowns against the Riders, bringing his season totals to 32 receptions for 483 yards and three touchdowns.
Bruce’s 16 receptions set a new Tiger-Cats team record and tied the CFL record shared by Terry Greer, Brian Wiggins and Derrell Mitchell. His 272 receiving yards are the sixth-highest single-game total recorded by a receiver in CFL history and the second best single-game performance in Ticats history.
