Tiger-Cats receiver Marquay McDaniel is getting ready for his second season after leading the CFL in combined yards last year.
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals that you follow?
Marquay: Not really, I just try to relax as much as possible and get hydrated.
Q: What is your favourite personal football memory?
Marquay: That two-point conversion to tie the game in last year’s playoff game vs. B.C. That one is going to stick with me for a while.
Q: Who is an athlete you admired growing up?

Marquay: I was a big Deion Sanders fan growing up, especially when he was doing punt returns. He was a good player but he was also flashy out there.
Q: What surprised you the most when you got to the CFL?
Marquay: Waggling. I never waggled before coming here so I really had to get used to it playing in the slot.
Q: If you weren’t playing football where would you be?
Marquay: I’d probably be coaching somewhere. When I’m at home I help out at a high school in my area, so I think that’s what I want to do when I’m done playing.
Q: If you could try another position on the field what would it be?
Marquay: I’d have to say cornerback. I played a little in high school and I really liked the challenge of having a guy coming full-speed at you and you have to figure out what he’s going to do.
Q: Do you have a favourite pre-game meal?
Marquay: I try to eat healthy, maybe get a salad and some chicken in me.
Q: Whats getting the most play in your ipod or car right now?
Marquay: Drake and Lil Wayne is probably what’s getting the most play.
Q: Do you have any game day superstitions?
Marquay: No, nothing like that.
