Ticats.ca talks to quarterback Jason Boltus, who will begin his second CFL season with the Tiger-Cats after signing with the team before training camp last year.
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals that you follow?
Jason: I always wear the same shirts and listen to the same songs on my iPod.
Q: What is your favourite personal football memory?
Jason: The game we won 72-70 in 4 overtimes in college to win the conference title… that game was awesome.
Q: Who is an athlete you admired growing up?
Jason: My favourite player was Jerry Rice. Other than him, I liked to watch Dan Marino and Brett Favre.
Q: What surprised you the most when you got to the CFL?
Jason: Definitely the 12th man on the field and the three downs.
Q: If you weren’t playing football where would you be?
Jason: Trying to get back into med school or in the medical field somewhere.
Q: If you could try another position on the field what would it be?
Jason: Maybe receiver. Get a chance to have the ball in your hands and make some plays.
Q: Do you have a favourite pre-game meal?
Jason: At Hartwick, we always went to this place Christopher’s for wings the night before a game but I haven’t really developed one here yet.
Q: Whats getting the most play in your iPod or car right now?
Jason: I’d have to say some Akon or Usher probably.
Q: Do you have any game day superstitions?
Jason: No, not really.
