The first diving catch occurred in week three against the Winnipeg. With the Ticats in a tight game against the Blue Bombers in the fourth quarter, Kevin Glenn found a diving Dave Stala for the touchdown. The touchdown extended the Ticats lead to 10 as they went on to win the game 25-13.
The second diving catch took place in the Eastern Semi-Final against B.C. The Ticats trailed the Lions by a touchdown early in the third quarter when Glenn placed a perfectly thrown deep ball in between two Lions defenders. Stala dove to meet it in the end zone, igniting the crowd and tying the game at 16-16.
In the previous match-up, Arland Bruce’s 49 yard touchdown catch against Saskatchewan in week seven defeated Prechae Rodriguez’s one-handed catch against Montreal in week four.
