Cobb’s touchdown catch sealed the Ticats first victory of the season as he eluded several Lions players on his way to the end zone. The score put the Ticats up by 10 late in the fourth quarter and they hung on for a hard-fought 31-28 victory.
Knowlton intercepted a Michael Bishop pass late in the fourth quarter of the Ticats last regular season game against Winnipeg and returned the ball to the end zone for a touchdown. The touchdown made the score 29-16 and allowed the Ticats to clinch second place in the East Division and home field advantage for the Eastern Semi-Final.
In the first match-up of the second round, Dave Stala’s 69 yard catch and run defeated Kevin Glenn’s 18 yard touchdown run.
