Stala’s catch got the Ticats deep out of their own end and into scoring position in a back and forth game against Montreal in week sixteen. Glenn would throw for over 500 yards in the game and a large chunk came on this one play. Nick Setta would kick a field goal to end the drive, making the score 31-21 at the time.

Glenn’s run in the dying seconds of the game allowed the Ticats to force overtime against the Argos in week eleven. Glenn completed passes to Stala, Arland Bruce, and DeAndra’ Cobb in a drive that started with 2:49 left on the clock and the Ticats trailing by seven. On third and six from the Argos 18, Glenn found some open running room in front of him and took off for the game-tying score.

In the last match of the first round, fans voted a third Dave Stala play into the second round as his diving touchdown catch against B.C. in the Eastern Semi-Final defeated Arland Bruce’s 27 yard leaping catch against Calgary in week fourteen.
