Rodriguez made a great one-handed catch in Montreal. While running down the field, Rodriguez extended to tip the ball back to himself. While falling to the ground, Rodriguez secured the ball with both hands for a big gain. The catch put the Ticats in field goal range in their game against the Alouettes in week four.

Cobb found himself wide open coming out of the backfield against the Argonauts in week seventeen. With Cobb wide open, Kevin Glenn threw back to the left while rolling right and Cobb jogged untouched in the end zone to give the Ticats a big 17-0 lead.

In the fifth match-up of the first round, Arland Bruce ensured he had a play reach the second round as his 49 yard touchdown catch against Saskatchewan in week seven defeated his 36 yard touchdown against Calgary in week twelve.
