Cobb’s touchdown catch sealed the Ticats first victory of the season as he eluded several Lions players on his way to the end zone. The score put the Ticats up by 10 late in the fourth quarter and they hung on for a hard-fought 31-28 victory.
James’ first touchdown catch of his CFL career came in the third quarter against the Bombers. Kevin Glenn fired a deep ball towards the end zone and James jumped in front of a Bombers defender to catch it for the score.
In the third match of the first round, Markeith Knowlton’s interception for a touchdown in Winnipeg defeated a 23 yard touchdown run from Cobb against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
