Cobb dashed to the end zone against the Riders on a windy day at Ivor Wynne Stadium. Cobb’s touchdown made the score 18-0 as the Ticats went on to win in convincing fashion 24-6.
Knowlton intercepted a Michael Bishop pass late in the fourth quarter of the Ticats last regular seaon game against Winnipeg and returned the ball to the end zone for a touchdown. The touchdown made the score 29-16 and allowed the Ticats to clinch second place in the East Division and home field advantage for the Eastern Semi-Final.
In the second match of the first round, Kevin Glenn’s last second touchdown run against Toronto defeated Prechae Rodriguez’s acrobatic touchdown catch against B.C.
