Local Schools Take Part In Attendance Challenge

Two classes from Gordon Price School in Hamilton have won the first two months of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats School Attendance Challenge. Mrs. Marshall’s Grade One class had the best attendance record for September and Ms. Ridio’s Grade 1/2 split class had the best attendance record for October among the six participating schools within the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. These two classes will be receiving a pizza party from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with players.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats School Attendance Challenge is a new community initiative where teachers keep track of the attendance of children in their classes. The class with the best attendance record at the end of each month will win a pizza party for their entire class, courtesy of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
