Hickman, Glenn Named Players Of The Month

GLENN, HICKMAN EARN CFL PLAYER OF THE MONTH HONOURS

– A pair of Hamilton Tiger-Cats players were honoured today by the Canadian Football League for their outstanding play in October as quarterback Kevin Glenn has been named the CFL Offensive Player of the Month and defensive end Justin Hickman has been named the CFL’s Defensive Player of the Month.

Glenn completed 128 of the 194 (66%) passes he attempted in October, recording 1,652 yards and eight touchdown passes.  Glenn also carried the ball 10 times for 52 yards and a touchdown.  On October 18, the veteran pivot threw for 506 yards and three touchdowns against the Montreal Alouettes, becoming the first CFL player to throw for over 500 yards since the 2004 season. 

Hickman registered 22 defensive tackles, five quarterback sacks and one forced fumble last month.  Hickman finished his rookie campaign with 51 defensive tackles, seven quarterback sacks, three tackles for losses and three forced fumbles.

Ticats linebackers Otis Floyd and Jamall Johnson were named runners up as Defensive Player of the Month.
