With the Edmonton Eskimos win over the B.C. Lions on Friday night, the Tiger-Cats have now secured a spot in the 2009 Eastern Semi-Final.
Both the location of the game and their opponent will be determined by the outcome of Sunday’s final regular season tilt between the Ticats and Blue Bombers in Winnipeg.
If the Ticats defeat (or tie) the Blue Bombers, the Black and Gold will finish with a record of 9-9 (or 8-9-1), secure second place in the East Division and host the Eastern Semi-Final against the B.C. Lions on Sunday, November 15 at Ivor Wynne Stadium at 1:00 p.m. Tickets to the Eastern Semi-Final in Hamilton would be available for purchase on Monday, November 9.
If the Bombers win on Sunday, the Ticats will end the season with an 8-10 record and would finish in third place in the East Division. The Ticats would then return to Winnipeg next Sunday to play the Bombers in the Eastern Semi-Final at Canad Inns Stadium.
