HICKMAN NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive end Justin Hickman has been named the Canadian Football League’s Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in last Friday’s 26-17 win over the Toronto Argonauts.
Hickman racked up four defensive tackles and three quarterback sacks against the Argonauts during the Ticats crucial win.
In his rookie season, Hickman has recorded 47 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks and three forced fumbles.
This is the fourth time a Tiger-Cat has been recognized as CFL Defensive Player of the Week as linebackers Jamall Johnson (Weeks 5 and 9) and Markeith Knowlton (Week 6) have been rewarded previously. Last month, linebacker Otis Floyd was named the CFL’s Defensive Player of the Month for September.
