Bruce Named Offensive Player Of The Week

BRUCE NAMED OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Hamilton, Ontario –
Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Arland Bruce III has been named the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week after his outstanding performance against the Calgary Stampeders last Friday at Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Bruce caught six passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the Ticats 24-17 victory, with both scores coming in the fourth quarter. 

Since being acquired in a July 29 trade with Toronto, Bruce has led the Black and Gold in receiving yards in all six games game he has started, racking up 40 receptions for 560 yards and six touchdowns along the way.

Ticats safety Sandy Beveridge was named runner-up for the Canadian Player of the Week award.

Bruce, Beveridge and the rest of the Ticats will host the Montreal Alouettes this Friday, September 25 at Ivor Wynne Stadium.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.  For tickets, visit Ticats.ca or call 905-547-CATS.
