STALA EARNS CANADIAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Dave Stala has been named the CFL’s Canadian Player of the Week in recognition of his effort in the Ticats 34-15 Labour Day Classic win over the Toronto Argonauts.
Stala hauled in six receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in Monday’s victory. This season, the first-year Ticat has recorded 29 receptions for 293 yards and two touchdowns.
Ticats defensive back Chris Thompson was named runner-up for Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a punt in the second quarter.
