PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – A former member of the Toronto Argonaut and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Jack McGee, has died in Peterborough, Ont., at the age of 77.
McGee was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and had just recently been diagnosed with leukemia. After retiring from the CFL in the late 1950s, McGee moved to Peterborough and bought a General Motors dealership, turning it into one of the most successful in central Ontario.
McGee was also a two-time president of the Ontario Automotive Dealers Association.
A funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at All Saints Anglican church in Peterborough. (CKQM)
