Cobb Named CFL Offensive Player Of The Week

Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back DeAndra’ Cobb has been named the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Ticats 31-28 win over the B.C. Lions on Friday. 

Cobb, making his CFL debut, carried the ball 14 times for 100 rushing yards (7.1 avg) and made five receptions for 75 receiving yards and a touchdown.  His biggest play came in the fourth quarter, when the Michigan State product caught a pass, fought off a pair of defenders and sprinted to the end zone to finish off a 48-yard reception for a major (video).
