Ticats Confidential: Training Camp Day Eight

The Ticats resumed training camp with back-to-back practices on Sunday after taking part in a controlled scrimmage on Saturday…

– A handful defensive backs were able to register interceptions during team drills, including Bo Smith, Carlton Brown, Olukayode Oredugba and Dylan Barker.  Chris Thompson also picked off a well-thrown Jason Boltus bomb.

– WR Chris Davis continued his strong play with a couple of big receptions of 40+ yards.

– WR Chris Bauman, WR Eddie Cohen and Agustin Barrenechea returned to practice while OL Zac Carlson, WR Dave Stala, WR Cassidy Doneff and WR Johnnie Morant sat out today’s activities.

– The offence performed very well during skelly in the red zone.  The offence was able to score frequently thanks to precision passes from all four quarterbacks to a handful of receivers.

– The newest Ticat, offensive lineman Albert Toeaina, wasn’t hard to spot.  The 6-6, 340-pound tackle spots long, dark hair and wore bright yellow cleats during his first day in Black and Gold.

– SCHEDULE CHANGE: Monday’s practice schedule has been changed.  The team will now take the field from 8:30 a.m. until 10:05 a.m. and follow that up with a lifting session in the gym.
