Hage Teams Up With FTC Canada For Food Drop In Montreal

Tiger-Cats CFLPA all-star offensive lineman Marwan Hage is teaming up with FTC Canada (Feed The Children) Wednesday May 27 to provide 680 family food boxes to needy families.

In partnership with Sun Youth Organization a downtown Montreal community center, Marwan Hage former Sun Youth participant will be handing out these boxes to families between 9 AM and 12PM.

Family recipients are identified by local social service organizations and receive a food voucher that they redeem at the event. The Community Centre serves youth, seniors, low-income families and people with special needs. The event will help to spread awareness of families in need in the Montreal area and further community involvement.

FTC Canada will partner with Keltic Transportation Inc. that will help expedite the food transportation into the downtown core. Hage will be available to welcome the guests, and alongside volunteers will distribute the 22-pound boxes.

Hage and FTC would like to acknowledge Montreal Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo and Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive lineman Luke Fritz who have also contributed to this great cause. Hage in addition plans to donate $3000.00 from his Hages Heroes program toward Sun Youth’s youth football program which will enable participants to play free of charge.

This event is only one of the many that FTC Canada organizes to provide food and supplies to those in need across Canada. Later this year, Hage will be helping with handing out 1000 Thanksgiving food boxes here in Hamilton.
