Prospects Set To Showcase Skills At CFL Evaluation Camp

Canada’s top football prospects are set to showcase their skills at the CFL’s Evaluation Camp scheduled from Friday, March 6 to Sunday, March 8 in Toronto.

Leading this year’s class of Canadian prospects are Alberta offensive lineman Simeon Rottier, Bishop’s running back Jamall Lee, Windsor offensive lineman Matt Morencie and Laval defensive lineman Étienne Légaré who were previously named as the top four prospects respectively by the CFL’s Scouting Bureau.

Fifty Canadian prospects in total, including all 15 players ranked by the CFL’s Scouting Bureau last fall, will be showcasing their skills during the three-day event in front of general managers, coaches and scouts from all teams as they prepare for the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft scheduled for Saturday, May 2.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts currently hold the top four picks in the draft, with Hamilton selecting first overall.
