TICATS TO HONOUR SUTHERIN, BROWNE & ALL TIGERTOWN FANS
Hamilton, Ontario – On Friday, October 24th, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will honour Ticats legends Don Sutherin and Less Browne when their names are added to the Ticats Wall of Honour as the team takes on the Calgary Stampeders during the last home game of the 2008 season at Ivor Wynne Stadium.
In addition, the Ticats will honour all fans in attendance as Friday also marks Fan Appreciation Night.
“Friday is a night that gives us the chance to recognize all the people that make our organization and our community great,” said president Scott Mitchell. “From the players who’ve helped make the Hamilton Tiger-Cats the storied franchise it is, to the fans who come out and support the team year after year, Friday night will be our way of thanking Less (Browne), Don (Sutherin) and all of our incredible fans.”
The first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a TigerTown rally towel and throughout the game more than 50 prize packs will be randomly awarded to fans all over Ivor Wynne Stadium.
To kick off the evening of festivities, starting at 5:30pm, the Ticats will host a Season Ticket Holder appreciation party at Brian Timmis. All season ticket holders are invited to an exclusive pre-game concert, huge discounts on Ticats merchandise and free hot dogs and Pepsi products. To top it all off, exclusive to season ticket holders, Wall of Honour inductees Less Browne and Don Sutherin will be signing autographs from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. All season ticket holders planning to attend are reminded to bring wrist bands that were issued in the mail earlier in the season.
In advance of Friday night’s contest, The annual Wall of Honour Charity Dinner featuring this year’s inductees will be held on Thursday, October 23 at Michelangelo’s Banquet and Convention Centre.
