What's In A Number: Bauman/Anthony/Siskowic

#87

Chris Bauman

Wide Receiver

“I wore 82 when I played for Canada Cup and I just tried to continue that throughout my career. 82 was my number in college, but it was taken when I got to Hamilton. Then every time someone had it here they were released so I never really wanted that one again. Ed MacCaffrey wore 87 and he was one guy I really looked up to in the NFL. So 87 it was.”

#48

Cornelius Anthony

Linebacker

“When I was in Calgary I wore number eight and I was very proud of that number. When I came here, of course, it was taken by Ryan Glasper. I had a good friend of mine Terrence Kiel, who played for the San Diego Chargers, he passed away July 4 and he wore number 48. So since I couldn’t wear eight, I decided to wear his old number to commemorate Terrence. He was a good friend of mine, and in memory, I’m representing him out on the field.”

#40

Cameron Siskowic

Linebacker

“My college coach was number 40 and I told him I wanted to be a better player than he was and wear the same number (laughs). I want to go down as the best number 40 in my state history. In my defence, he didn’t win Conference MVP, I did (laughs). I thought about wearing my dad’s number 24, which I have tattooed on my arm. The tattoo is a tribute to him, because I used to write it on my arm every game and once I started getting tatted up I decided to get it put on there permanently. I thought about wearing 24, but I didn’t want anyone to think I had a tattoo of my own number because that’s really cliché and cheesy.”
