The All-Rivalry Team: Tiggle/Zatylny

Calvin Tiggle

Linebacker

Hamilton Tiger-Cats: 1996-1999

LDC Record: 2-2 (vs. Toronto)

Toronto Argonauts: 1994-1995/2000-2001

LDC Record: 1-2 (vs. Hamilton)

Tiggle was a monster on defence during his CFL career. He was named to the All-Star team in his first season in the league, setting the record for tackles at 129, a record that still stands today. In his four seasons with the Tiger-Cats, he was a member of the league’s All-Star team twice and was the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 1999. 

Wally Zatylny

Wide Receiver

Hamilton Tiger-Cats: 1988-1992/1994

LDC Record: 3-2 (vs. Toronto)

Toronto Argonauts: 1993

LDC Record: 0-1 (vs. Hamilton)

Last but certainly not least, Zatylny was a wide receiver and special teams ace for the Ticats and Argos, after enjoying a successful college career at Bishops. Wearing the number 21, he was an Eastern Division Special Teams All-Star as a member of the Cats in 1989. He left the Tabbies and spent a year in Argo Blue, before returning back to the TigerTown.
