The Pressure’s On

As difficult as it may be to predict Grey Cup match ups, CFL analysts take a great deal of time trying to get it done. I would imagine they take a lot of criteria into account: previous year’s success, returning veterans and coaches, big name acquisitions, the list goes on and on.

After taking all these things into consideration, there appeared to be a general consensus that both the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the B.C. Lions would be going toe to toe for the Canadian Football League title. If you were to ask me I would have to agree with that. B.C. is a perennial force in this league and after a Grey Cup appearance last November we have been left very hungry for the ultimate prize, not to mention the return of almost all our starters. All that is left is to watch this materialize through the regular season.

So here we are, entering week three with a predicted Grey Cup match up happening in Winnipeg. The only problem is that both of us are 0-2. Furthermore, at approximately 10:00 PM Central on Friday night, one of us would have started the season 0-3. A pretty deep whole to dig yourself out of.

So you see it goes without saying that although this may not be the Grey Cup, the magnitude is getting pretty close. Both of our backs are against the wall and neither of us will accept being 0-3. If you asked me I’d say this is the making of some great Friday Night Football. Enjoy!
