Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats would like to congratulate running back Jesse Lumsden for being named the Canadian Football League’s Canadian Player of the Week.
Lumsden carried the ball 20 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns and made one reception for five yards during the Ticats 32-13 win over the Toronto Argonauts last Thursday.
Through two games, the McMaster product leads the CFL with 225 rushing yards and is averaging an incredible 7.8 yards per carry.
Lumsden and the Ticats host the Saskatchewan Roughriders this Saturday, July 12 at Ivor Wynne Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. For tickets, call the Ticats sales staff at 905-547-CATS.
