Safety Dylan Barker, the Ticats first overall selection in this year’s CFL Draft, could miss the entire 2008 season due to a leg injury according to the Hamilton Spectator.
“Surgery went well, the doctors were positive, but it was a fairly extensive injury. It’s tough on him being a rookie in a new town for the first time and laying down there in a hospital bed by himself. I don’t think his family has come in yet. The team and coaches, we’re going to be there for him,” head coach Charlie Taaffe said.
“You feel terrible. Number 1 pick. And just for anyone to go through that, particularly as a rookie.”
