Fans Invited To Black And Gold Day

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats invite their fans to come out to the new and improved Black and Gold Day presented by Nutribar at McMaster University’s Ronald V. Joyce Stadium this Sunday, June 8.

There will be fun for everyone at McMaster on Sunday, as the Ticats will continue their training camp with a practice that begins at 4:00 p.m. followed by a controlled scrimmage at 5:00 p.m. Head coach Charlie Taaffe will wear a microphone for a portion of the controlled scrimmage to provide fans with insight about the play on the field.

The team will take part in an autograph session following the scrimmage, where fans are encouraged to join the team on the turf to meet their favourite players.

In addition to watching this year’s squad in action, fans will be entertained by Stripes, enjoy food and beverages at the concessions, and browse the selection of Ticats merchandise available at the new stadium.

Fans are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable to Black and Gold Day to support the Good Shepherd’s food drive. Donation boxes will be on site as fans enter the stadium on Sunday.

“Everyone in TigerTown is encouraged to enjoy Sunday’s festivities at the spectacular new Ron Joyce Stadium,” said president Scott Mitchell. “We’ve received fantastic support from our great fans and we’re happy to provide them with them with the first chance to meet the team. With the action on the field and in the stadium, we’re sure that all fans will be thoroughly entertained.”

Parking at McMaster University is free on Sundays.
