Five More Join TigerTown

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today the signings of import defensive linemen Byron Tinker and Dominic Lewis, import wide receivers Jonathan Carter and Mike Maciejewski, and import offensive lineman Gerald Davis.

Tinker, a 6-4, 281-pound native of Louisville, Kentucky, played four seasons (2004-07) at Marshall where he recorded 108 tackles, 6.5 quarterback sacks, 14.5 tackles for losses, one forced fumble and one blocked kick.

Lewis, a 6-3, 261-pound native of Killeen, Texas, played four seasons (2004-07) at Kentucky. After converting from a running back to defensive end after his freshman season, Lewis recorded 69 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, five quarterback sacks and two forced fumbles.

Carter, a 6-0, 180-pound native of Anniston, Alabama, was selected by the New York Giants in the fifth round (162nd overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft. In 25 career NFL games with the Giants and New York Jets, Carter recorded 14 receptions for 266 yards and two touchdowns while returning 44 kicks for 1,060 yards.

Maciejewski, a 6-0, 190-pound native of Cheektowaga, New York, played four years (2004-07) at SUNY Brockport as a receiver and defensive back. The 22-year-old finished his collegiate career with 45 receptions for 716 yards and seven touchdowns.

Davis, a 6-4, 300-pound native of Greensboro, Georgia, started 36 of the 46 games he appeared in during four years (2004-07) at Valdosta State. Davis started all 14 of the Blazers’ contests last season en route to their NCAA Division II Championship.
