TigerTown Week Recap
Last week the Tiger-Cats left their paw prints across the area, spending full days in St. Catharines, Brantford, Guelph, and Burlington, before returning to Hamilton on Saturday.

The team was out in full force with a roster that included Marwan Hage, Cedric Gagne-Marcoux, Tony Miles, Sandy Beveridge, Chris Bauman, Nautyn McKay-Loescher, Ray Mariuz, Jonta Woodard and first overall draft pick Dylan Barker.
During the days, the players went back to school to spend time with elementary students and pass along some valuable lessons they’ve learned in their lives. On Thursday in Guelph, the players spoke at a French immersion school, which allowed Marwan and Cedric, who are both bilingual, to field questions in two different languages.
Unfortunately, the bell rang and the players had to move along, but they made sure to sign autographs before they left. The next stop saw the team drop in on local hospitals. Whether it was football conversations, words of encouragement, or playing a game, the Ticats contingent was able to bring a smile to the faces of everyone in the children’s ward, with the exception of those who had just had their tonsils out.
On Friday, the team took to the lanes of Burlington Bowl with local youth. A player or cheerleader represented the Ticats in every lane and the players let their competitive sides show as they challenged each other for the day’s high score.
On Saturday, City Kidz, an organization that works with inner city children, welcomed the Ticats to a theatre-style interactive stage show. The kids in attendance sported Ticats gear and had a chance to hear the players speak and then meet them face-to-face after.
The final destination each day was the local Boston Pizza, where Ticats players had the opportunity to sit down with fans and share stories and predictions for the upcoming season.
