Ticats Sign Free Agent WR Tony Miles

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import wide receiver Tony Miles.

“Tony is a proven receiver who will be a great veteran presence in our receiving corps,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. “He’s a playmaker who is a threat every time he’s on the field. His speed, quickness and sure hands will add a lot of firepower to our offence.”

Miles, a 5-9, 172-pound native of Mart, Texas began his CFL career with the Ticats in 2002 before spending the past five seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. In 83 career games, the Northwest Missouri State product has recorded 345 receptions, 4,795 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. Last season, Miles caught 24 passes for 433 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. He was named a CFL and East Division All-Star in 2003.
