Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are pleased to announce that Dan Rambo has been hired as the club’s Director of Football Operations.
“Dan brings a wealth of knowledge to our team having worked in professional football for more than 25 years,” said general manager Marcel Desjardins. “His knowledge of and passion for the Canadian Football League, as well as his extensive experience as an NFL scout, will ensure that the player personnel department of the Ticats will be second to none with respect to identifying quality players that will help us build a championship football team here in Hamilton.”
Rambo joins the Ticats after most recently spending eight years as a scout with the NFL’s Denver Broncos following a stint as the Saskatchewan Roughriders director of player personnel. Rambo was also worked with Saskatchewan from 1983-1990, where he assumed various positions including director of player personnel, director of scouting and assistant general manager.
The Gloucester, Ontario resident also gained valuable CFL experience as general manager of the Ottawa Rough Riders. Under Rambo’s direction, the Rough Riders finished the 1992 season with their best record in 10 years.
Rambo has also held positions with the World League of American Football in as Director of College Scouting and Director of European Football Operations.
