Tiger-Cats Sign Gagne-Marcoux

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has added another key component of its future by signing 2006 first round draft pick Cedric Gagne-Marcoux to a two-year (plus an option) contract.

“Signing Cedric is a huge boost to our roster,” said general manager Marcel Desjardins. “He possesses the potential to anchor our offensive line. Adding young, gifted Canadians like Cedric as well as several of the players that have joined our team recently creates a core to enable our team to become a consistent contender for years to come.”

Gagne-Marcoux, a 6-2, 290-pound offensive lineman, was selected 8th overall by the Black and Gold in last year’s CFL Canadian Draft. The Baie-Cormeau, Quebec native was a four-year starter for Central Florida, starting 39 of 44 games he appeared in with the Golden Knights and was a first-team 2005 All-Conference USA selection.
