Ticats Take Bauman With First Overall Selection

Hamilton, Ontario – With the first selection in the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft, the Tiger-Cats selected Regina Rams wide receiver Chris Bauman.

Bauman, a 6-4, 212-pound native of Brandon, Manitoba was named a CIS first-team all-star after leading the CIS in receiving last season with 923 yards and 10 touchdowns on 42 receptions. The 22-year-old set a Rams single-game record with 180 receiving yards against UBC on September 9th.

The Ticats possess a total of nine selections in the draft; two in the first round (first and fourth overall), two in the second round (12th and 13th), one in the fourth round (25th), two in the fifth round (33rd and 36th) and two in the sixth round (41st and 43rd).
