The mayors of the two cities competing in Sunday’s 106th Grey Cup are all-in, as Ottawa mayor Jim Watson and Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi settled on a friendly wager for the big game.
The cheesy #GreyCup bet with @nenshi is on! The losing Mayor will raise the winning team’s flag, wear their jersey at Council, donate $3 dollars per point scored to the winning city’s food bank and host winning team Mayor for a feast of iconic local food. Bring it home #RNation!

Given the food bank donation involved, it’s fair to say all parties involved will win this bet — one mayor gets bragging rights, while the other will donate to their local community. Fair play all around!
