REGINA — This week’s Pick ‘Em Marquee Matchup features a matchup between the BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Two of the league’s hottest teams go head-to-head at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday night as they fight for playoff positioning in the West Division.
The Riders have eight of their last 10 contests while the Lions have nabbed six of their last seven meaning it’s anyone’s guess who comes out on top of this one.
The additions of DeVier Posey and Tyrell Sutton have proved to have a major impact on the Lions roster in the late stretch of the season. Posey scored three touchdowns last week while Sutton has added a power run that the Lions need heading into the cold weather games.
Second place in the West is still an outcome for Wally Buono’s Lions to finish the regular season, starting with a win over Saskatchewan.
The Riders, on the other hand, need a win this week to secure a home playoff date. Saskatchewan has relied on the strength of their defence on their rise in the West Division. But last week’s play from quarterback Zach Collaros, who threw for 352 yards, showed that the offence is on the cusp of being just as dangerous of the defence.
