The wheels started turning when a string of the league’s most talented receivers were injured in quick succession.
Manny Arceneaux, Chris Williams, Jalen Saunders, Derel Walker and Kamar Jorden are all down, out for at least the regular-season, with Walker hoping to get back for the playoffs and Arceneaux determined to get back on the field this year, if at all possible. You see those receivers leave the game, you see their names together and you start thinking about how if these guys were healthy they’d be a great team.
A quick dig through the six-game injured lists of the league’s nine teams turned up a lot of talent. Many of these names won’t be back on a field this year, so think of this as a way to give them a shout out and to picture them at their best on a fictitious team that on paper looks really good but will never actually happen.
